Spokane, WA – Platte River Equity (“Platte River”) portfolio company MES Life Safety (“MES”) is excited to announce its newest add-on acquisition, General Fire Apparatus (“General Fire”), a fire apparatus sales and service company with a four-decade legacy of serving fire departments across the Pacific Northwest. This strategic acquisition strengthens MES’s apparatus sales capabilities across Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Oregon, while also deepening its service and support network.
“We’ve always focused on making sure fire departments have the right apparatus to meet their mission, backed by dependable service and support,” said Steve Wickwire, Vice President of General Fire. “Becoming part of MES allows us to join forces with a strong brand that will increase our access to national resources, while continuing to provide the trusted local services our customers expect,” added Brenden Feist, CEO of General Fire.
“General Fire has an outstanding history of not only servicing but selling and delivering critical fire apparatus throughout the Pacific Northwest,” said Marvin Riley, CEO of MES. “Their deep expertise in apparatus sales and long-standing customer relationships make them the ideal partner as MES continues to expand its role as the nation’s most trusted provider of emergency vehicles and equipment.”
“General Fire is a highly strategic acquisition for MES, providing a beachhead in the Pacific Northwest, where MES has historically had a limited footprint,” said Eric Crawford, Managing Director of Platte River. “We are proud to continue to support the MES team as they execute the important mission of protecting America’s workers and communities.”
MES continues to actively seek add-on acquisitions for businesses providing equipment distribution, aftermarket equipment maintenance and testing services and fire system services to the fire, tactical and industrial end markets.
